Page 2: Finish Creating Blocks |
5. Create Four 12.5" Strips
TECHNIQUE
There are four strips for this step. I used the same blue fabric as I used in step 4. Each strip measures 2.5" x 12.5".

6. Create Eight Triangle Blocks
|
TECHNIQUE There are eight triangle blocks that I show in blue/gray. The finished block measures 4.5" x 4.5". Cut two strips of fabric that measures 28" X 3.5". Cut into sixteen 3.5" squares. Cut two strips of contrast fabric that measures 28" X 3.5". Cut into sixteen 3.5" squares. Stitch fabric-1 triangles to fabric-2 triangles. You should have 32 finished squares. Square down each of the blocks to a size of 2.5" square. |
7. Stitch Squares TogetherRotate the squares (created in step 6) as shown in step 6. Stitch the squares together in groups of four. You will now have 8 finished blocks, each made from 4 squares. Each finished blocks will measure 4.5" square. |
8. Cut Four Black BlocksCut four black squares, each measuring 4.5" square. |
